THE LOFT at Lower Parel is a space for creative interaction, national and international residencies, curatorial projects and a source for exciting new art. Over 2008-2011, THE LOFT at Lower Parel conducted international residencies and studio sessions for Indian artists, besides inviting well known curators to present an exhibition/project based on ongoing concerns.

From time to time, THE LOFT at Lower Parel offers artists/curators the space to work in, in the heart of Mumbai city. Working space, travel and accommodation arrangements and an opportunity to exhibit in Mumbai were a few benefits offered under our earlier programs. A panel comprising eminent collectors, established artists, and critic-curators recommend artists and curators for THE LOFT's annual program.

The nominations for 2009-2010 were made by Anupam Poddar, Sangita Jindal, Jitish Kallat, Sudarshan Shetty, Priya Pall and Anupa Mehta.

The applications for 2010-2011 were appraised by a six person panel including Amrita Jhaveri, Girish Shahane, Harsh Goenka, Shaheen Merali, Swapan Seth and Anupa Mehta

Through a sister concern ARTWORKS, Anupa also facilitates acquisitions and re-sales. Art works created at residencies/open studios as also secondary market stock is sold directly to a discerning clientele. The sale of art works helps fund THE LOFT’s programs.
